The Research & Development Cell organized an Aavishkar Workshop for Aspiring Researchers on 23rd July 2025. Led by Dr. Sunil Karve, a renowned academician and Chairman (Adhoc), Board of Studies in Banking & Finance and Investment Management, University of Mumbai—the workshop was an engaging session aimed at nurturing research aptitude and innovation among students and faculty members. The workshop encouraged students and faculty to explore the world of research and innovation, provided strategies and guidelines to confidently participate in the prestigious Aavishkar Research Convention and similar competitions. A total of 93 students and faculty members participated in the workshop. The workshop proved to be a stepping stone for future researchers, equipping them with knowledge, motivation, and confidence to showcase their research work on larger platforms. TRCAC continues to inspire and empower the academic community to embrace innovation and contribute meaningfully to the world of research.
Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce, Mumbai, in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), Nagpur, successfully hosted an online workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights & Patents Designs and Filing” under the Government of India’s National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM). Held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM via Webex, the session drew enthusiastic participation from over 300 attendees, including students, faculty, and researchers. The workshop featured Shri Kumar Raju, Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs at RGNIIPM, as the esteemed resource person. He delivered an engaging and insightful talk on the rising relevance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in both academic and industrial contexts.
The Research and Development Cell of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts & Commerce, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce (Accountancy), University of Mumbai, successfully organized the One-Day National Level Multidisciplinary Conference, "शोध समीक्षा – A Platform for Innovation & Knowledge." The conference's theme, "Reimagining Progress: Innovations and Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Arts, Commerce, and Technological Advancements," featured distinguished keynote speakers, insightful technical sessions, and engaging panel discussions. Participants had the opportunity to present their research through paper and poster presentations, covering a wide range of interdisciplinary topics. The discussions focused on breaking down disciplinary silos, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and utilizing research to drive societal and industrial progress. A total of 110 participants, including students, research scholars, and academicians, actively contributed to the event's success, making it a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and research collaboration. The Research & Development Cell had organized 'Shodh-Anveshan', a Student Research Convention with the theme of Artificial Intelligence. The event was judged by Dr. Hiren Dand, Head of the Department of Information Technology at Mulund College of Commerce (Autonomous), and Dr. Navsin Mistry, Principal of M.V. Mandali’s College of Commerce & Science. The objective of the convention was to promote a research culture among students. Students from various departments presented their research papers, and the top three presentations were selected by the judges. These students were awarded certificates of achievement and trophies. All participants received e-certificates for their presentations. 'Shodh-Anveshan' marked the beginning of a new phase in fostering research among students. [Event Date : 20/09/2024]
The Research and Development Cell had organized a meeting to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the DrillBit Plagiarism Check Software, available in the library. The session covered the standard operating procedures for accessing the software’s benefits, explained by Ms. Daksha Choudhary and Ms. Binita Jha. The meeting aimed to assist researchers in enhancing the quality of their research work. The Research & Development Cell had organized a workshop on Data Analysis for the faculty members of the degree college. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Mahesh Sudhakar Naik, Assistant Professor at SVKM’s NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Tech. Management and Engineering. The workshop proved to be fruitful, as hands-on training on various statistical techniques was delivered effectively.
