The Department of Arts (History) successfully conducted a three-month value-added course titled;Decoding Brahmi: Unraveling India's Ancient Script"; This course aimed to teach students about the oldest writing system in South Asia, dating back to the 3rd century BCE. It provided insights into ancient languages, administrative practices, and cultural developments. Students learned to read, translate, and decipher the Ashokan Brahmi script. Through field trips and presentations, they explored on-site scripts at the CSMVS Museum and Kanheri Caves, enhancing their understanding of this ancient writing system. Objectives of the Event: The main objective of the Value-Added Script course was Historical Context: Understand the origins and evolution of Brahmi script. Translation; Transliteration: Translate and transliterate inscriptions to decode meanings. Character Proficiency: Identify and decipher Brahmi characters and diacritics. The Department of B.Com. (Accounting & Finance) organized a two-day industrial visit to Abhijeet Dies & Tools Pvt Ltd., Naigaon (East) on August 29-30, 2024. On each day, 48 First Year B.Com. (A&F) students, accompanied by their faculty, toured the manufacturing unit, which produces molds for companies like Mahindra and Hero Motocorp. The visit aimed to give students practical insight into manufacturing processes and costing, including raw material procurement, machining, drilling, assembly, cooling, product trials, quality checks, and cost management practices such as allocation, budgeting, and reporting.

The Department of Arts (History) organized a field trip for all the students of S.Y.B.A and T.Y.B.A. to Kanheri Caves. The name ‘Kanheri’ is derived from the Sanskrit ‘Krishnagiri’, meaning black mountain since the caves are constructed on the basalt deposits. The Kanheri cave complex feature extensive Buddhist art and architecture. Exploring the Kanheri Caves provided valuable insights into early rock-cut architecture, religious places and monastic life. It also aided in preserving the cultural treasure and enhanced our understanding of India’s rich historical heritage. The event aimed to raise awareness about women's issues and promote physical activity among students. It was organized by the Department of Arts in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra. The industrial visit was conducted on Tuesday, 5th March 2024 at Mahindra and Mahindra Farm Division by the department of B.Sc.(I.T.) and B.Sc.(C.S.). In this visit, the students were oriented regarding the working of the Farm division of Mahindra and Mahindra. The industrial visit was organized to stimulate the understanding of the importance of IT sectors and also to create critical thinking among the students by comparing contemporary conditions.

The speaker of the seminar was Ms. Prachi Samant, Cyber Security Professional with an working experience of over 10 years in cyber security, Data analytics and Teaching. The main objective was to educate participants about the importance of cybersecurity and how it can be used to protect sensitive data and information. The vision and mission of this fest is to give hands on training to the students of mass media in our institution, taking them one step closer to the industry they wish to pursue. With this fest, we also aim to connect with the rest of the colleges for growth and development. The field trip began from Charni road Iskcon Temple to Banganga Tank at Malabar hill , a tour was given to the students of the site. After the tour, lunch was provided and then students were taken on a pilgrimage tour of the Babulnath at Malabar hill, which included a walk from Iskcon temple to Babulnath. The Department of B.A. in association with the Research and Development cell organized a Seminar on “Research Writing'' on Wednesday, 10th January, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the students of S.Y.B.A and T.Y.B.A.The resource person for the seminar was Ms Sarah Rezaei, Senior Research Assistant at Monk Prayogshala. The resource person briefed the students about the basics of writing a research paper in their field and its application in academic settings. The session also helped guide the students to identify different areas of research in their field and gave them a clarity regarding the scope of research in their field while motivating them to pursue it. The session ended with the participants' questions for certain clarifications and additional information. Participants asked a variety of questions to the resource person which were satisfactorily answered.

On September 16, 2023, the Nature Club hosted a successful Beach Clean Up Drive at Uttan Beach, Mira Road, in honor of International Coastal Clean Up Day. The event brought together passionate volunteers dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of their local coastline. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a strong sense of community spirit, participants meticulously collected litter and debris, making significant strides toward a cleaner, healthier beach environment. Their collective effort not only contributed to the immediate cleanliness of Uttan Beach but also raised awareness about the importance of protecting our coastal ecosystems for future generations.
On September 15, 2023, a field visit was organized for students to the Govardhan Eco Village, with transportation provided by two buses. Upon arrival, students received an overview of the various activities at the venue. The visit began with a tour of the Pyrolysis plant, where students learned about the process of recycling waste food. The itinerary continued with visits to the Gaushala, Temple, and green fields of organic farming. Students also explored candle making, perfume making, and, notably, the Solar plant, gaining valuable insights into the significance of green energy and sustainable practices.
On September 14, 2023, the BAF event "Series 4 - How to Invest in Rights Issues" provided comprehensive guidance on investing in rights issues. Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce had organised a field visit on Elephanta caves on 31/08/2023 from 7.00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The field visit aimed at spreading awareness about the rock cut architecture. The students got first- hand experience about religious background of the caves and Buddhist stupa dating back to 2nd century B.C The students ofTYBA & S.Y.B.A participated in the field visit and guided by a teachers about the Sculpture and all 7 caves where the interior of the main cave relieved with a series of sculpture panels carved into the walls on either side of the entrance is end in three bays. The trip was interactive as the participants saw the three faces of Sadashiva represent Tatpurusha or Mahadeva, Aghora or Bhairava and Vamadeva or Uma. The Students asked a variety of questions to the teachers which were satisfactorily answered.

Department of B.Com (Accounting & Finance) of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce had conducted an induction programme of F.Y.B.A.F. students on 5th July 2023 from 11am to 2pm. The induction started with address by the Degree Incharge Ms. Sumathi Rajkumar followed by a brief introduction of BAF department given by Program Coordinator Ms. Daksha Choudhary and core faculty members. Chairperson of CEEP and P.H.E. committees were also present and guided the students about the code of conduct of the respective committee. EVENT NAME - Monetary Museum RBI Visit RBI Museum Visit: A Glimpse into India’s Monetary History The TRCAC's visit to the RBI Museum proved to be an enriching experience. The museum offered a comprehensive overview of India's monetary evolution, from ancient coinage to contemporary currency management. I mean, who knew money could be so interesting? From ancient coins that looked like tiny works of art to the crisp new notes we use today, the museum had it all. It was mind-boggling to see how India's economy has transformed over the centuries. From bartering to digital wallets, it's crazy how far we've come. And those interactive displays? Genius! I felt like a financial wizard for a few hours. The highlight for me was definitely the rare coins. We couldn't believe how old some of them were! It's like holding a piece of history in your hand. Overall, it was a super informative and fun day out. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to appreciate the value of money (literally and figuratively).[DATE - 12 July 2023]

The BAMMC department had arranged a television professional anchoring training session for the learners. Arena animation , a well known name in animation training sector was invited to train the students for the same. The students and the BAMMC faculty members attended the session. The main objective was to make students aware of animation and its nuances.
The students of T.Y.B.A, Department of History organized an exhibition ‘Antiquitz’ as a part of their curriculum project. The exhibition displayed a variety of exhibits like stamps, currency, geoids and mosaic art. The exhibits were a personal collection of the students. The exhibition gave the students an opportunity to develop their leadership and community interaction skills.
“ArtBeat”, an Expressive Art Therapy workshop on Stress Management was conducted by the Department of Psychology for all the degree college students in order to teach them a creatively productive way of managing and releasing their stress. This workshop had themes of visual, music, paint and body movement art.
