‘Way to Success in Life - Through Chanakya's Teachings’ by Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai On Saturday 24th of August, 2024, an enlightening talk was hosted in Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce by best selling author, tedx speaker and life coach Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai on the topic ‘Way to Success in Life - Through Chanakya's Teachings’. The session provided a roadmap for all the young minds to lead fruitful and successful lives.
The Literary Club of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Arts and Commerce had organized a field visit to a book launch event at Pragnya Bodhini High School on 10th august 2024. The said event was organized for the launch of the book ‘Living with Adi’ by author ‘Ms. Zarin Virji’. The book is centered around the experience of neurodivergent children in neurotypical societal and educational setups. It also takes into account the experience of neurotypical adults in raising or interacting with neurodivergent children. The book launch event addressed the challenges around the experience of inclusion and exclusion of neurodivergent children and put a special emphasis on how awareness among children and educators can help neurodivergent children experience a safe and inclusive environment at home and at educational institutions.
READERS' CLUB, JULY ‘24 The Literary Club of TRCAC concluded the first month of Readers’ Club Activities in July. Students were recommended three diverse books from three varied genres to help broaden their horizons, improve their language and communication skills, and also to encourage regular reading. The three chosen novels ‘Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life’ by Fransesc Miralles and Hector Garcia, invites the readers to take a critical look at themselves and find a reason for live and a purpose for living. The second book ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ by Mitch Albom, is a tale of the unusual connection between a student and an educator and learning the art of forgiveness. Lastly, Jhumpa Lahari’s ‘The Namesake’ tackles the crisis of mixed identities and the constant battle between tradition and modernity. Students’ thoroughly enjoyed the reading experience and made fruitful connections with the characters and values discussed in each book.
