Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S)

  • 1.The Department of Management Studies (B.M.S.) program is a 3-year Undergraduate Management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai. This program aims to provide comprehensive management training and exposure to the students by way of an innovative practical approach teaching-learning methodology. Interactive teaching, projects, presentations, case-study analysis, field studies, industrial visits, soft skills development, internships and placements are an integral part of BMS pedagogy.
  • 2.The program also aims to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship among young minds and also to develop mid-level managerial skills for the industry. The BMS curriculum has been professionally upgraded to meet the demands of the Corporate world.
  • 3.In the third year of BMS, the students can select Marketing or Finance as their area of specialization and have relevant elective subjects from the 5th Semester onwards. This helps them get in-depth knowledge in their area of interest. The program is designed to train students to be aspiring Entrepreneurs, Managers and budding CEOs of tomorrow, thus taking up the responsibility for the holistic development of a student's personality.

Eligibility for Programme

  • A candidate in order to be eligible for admission to the B.M.S. degree course shall have passed the 12th Std. Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branch with two or three years duration after passing the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% marks for the general category (in one attempt) and minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt).
  • While drawing the merit list, weightage is given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science stream at 12th standard level. The streamwise weightage to be given is as under.
  • Available Seats: 120 (50% Reserved for Hindi -speaking linguistic minority).

Examination Pattern

  • The performance of the learners shall be evaluated in two components: Internal Assessment having 25% weightage, External Assessment through Semester End Examination having 75% weightage.
