On 3rd December 2024, the Nature Club organized an E-Waste Collection Drive in collaboration with 'The Recycling Company, Thereco,' at Room No. 803 on the TRCAC campus to raise awareness about the environmental impact of electronic waste and encourage responsible disposal practices. The drive aimed to collect and recycle discarded electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, and other gadgets, preventing harmful substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium from polluting the environment. It also emphasized the importance of repair, reuse, and recycling to reduce electronic waste. The event contributed to a cleaner campus, promoted sustainable waste management, and fostered environmental consciousness among students, faculty, and the community.
The Nature Club successfully conducted the Green Audit on the college campus on 29th November 2024, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The audit focused on evaluating our campus's environmental performance, including resource usage, waste management, energy efficiency, water conservation, and overall sustainability practices. The event provided valuable insights into areas for improvement and highlighted eco-friendly strategies to enhance our environmental efforts. We thank all participants and faculty members for their active involvement in this important initiative towards fostering a more sustainable campus.
